5Sigma, a Conversation

The 5Sigma Education Conference has been on hold since 2020 when a pandemic thwarted our gathering plans. As we considered how to get back into the conference flow, we continually came back to the desire for smaller, more intimate and meaningful conversations. So, rather than jump into planning keynote speakers and sessions, we decided for a different approach in 2023; 5Sigma a conversation. At the heart, 5Sigma has always been about declarations of discovery, sharing what we've learned along the way about learner centered education at Anastasis. You can still count on plenty of Anastasis inspiration, but rather than lining up a host of breakout sessions, we thought it might be more meaningful to invite you to bring your own learner centered questions or opportunities you'd like help exploring. Together we'll ask questions, brainstorm, dream, and design. We're big believers in the idea of collective intelligence, we've seen it at work for the last 12 years at Anastasis. We know that audacious goals can be achieved when we come together to dream.

We are excited to offer a more intimate and collaborative exploration of innovative practices in teaching and learning. This conference will be an interactive and engaging experience for educators, administrators, and those interested in learner centered design. We'll tour Anastasis Academy, a k-8th grade school that has implemented learner centered design for the last 12 years. During the student-led tour, we will observe classrooms, ask questions, and explore the school's design and culture.

This is an interactive conference and we encourage participants to bring learner-centered questions or problems you are experiencing so we can collaboratively design solutions. We will be exploring topics such as learner-centered instructional design, assessment, classroom design, and other innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
